Noreen's history of adult care experiences began with her grandmother moving in with her in 1972 and has continued through her life to include:
Noreen Jorgensen, started Saratoga Manor in 1991, a Family-type Adult Home in Ballston Spa N.Y.. Saratoga Manor was home to 8 assisted residents along with Noreen's mother and her husband Peter. After closing Saratoga Manor in 2002 Noreen and Peter started spending their winters in St. Cloud, Florida. Noreen also continued her lifelong passion of advocating and caring for seniors. Looking around and realizing that her lovely 3 bedroom 2 bath home could accommodate another snowbird or two, she has decided to open up her Florida home (Winter Nest) to other snowbirds who may now need some assistance, and would still like to enjoy their winters in Florida.
Winter Nest is an assisted living home for Snowbirds in sunny St. Cloud, Florida with rooms available from November '08 through April '09.
Noreen is a wonderful cook and enjoys a nice clean house. She loves sitting in her screened-room next to the hot tub in the back yard. The back yard is enclosed for privacy and includes a beautiful tropical garden.
Winter-Nest is located one door from St.Cloud's new Lakefront Park on East Lake Toho. Activities in the park include: bike paths, walking paths, a restaurant, lovely white beach for swimming and sunning, kids water park and playground, a fishing pier, boating, volleyball, picnicking and bird-watching. Every year there has been a Great Horned Owls nest with new baby's right in the live-oak tree in front of the home. Sand-hill Cranes walk down the middle of the road and an Eagle perches in the tree next door to look over the lake front for its' dinner.
It's a beautiful place to vacation and would make a wonderful place for an elderly person with needs.
